Music City Photo is Nashville photographer Jimmy Stratton, specializing in music, entertainment, commercial and advertising photography. From artists, musicians, models and actors to musical instrument and pro audio companies, I’ve spent decades photographing people, products and personalities that make this business interesting, creating images for branding and marketing that are timeless. I found my way on stage through glass in 1979 when I cut my rock photography teeth on Ted Nugent. Since then, I’ve photographed well over a thousand artists and countless other people across 26 countries. All the world is a studio. Whether it is artist portraits, live performance, headshots, fashion, food, beverages, products or editorial assignments, I approach every situation the same way: find the light, recognize the moment and create the image.
